Mission Statement for The City College
The college has the motto “Where Students Come First”. It is with this motto foremost in our minds that we pledge to provide the highest standards of value-for-money education to the individual without compromising on quality.
Accreditation & Approval

The City College has undergone a review by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and has received its final report, which is available in full at this link Click HereWe have received the following judgements from QAA:

  • The maintenance of the academic standards of awards meets UK expectations.
  • The quality of student learning opportunities meets UK expectations.
  • The quality of the information about learning opportunities meets UK expectations.
  • The enhancement of student learning opportunities meets UK expectations.

Action Plan

The Higher Education Review process requires the College to agree an action plan which refers to the areas of good practice, recommendations and affirmations. The Higher Education Review report identified timeframes for the completion of the recommendations and these are included in the action plan.

Our History

Established in 1979, The City College is one of the oldest independent institution located near the Old street station minutes away from the heart of the City in London. Over the years thousands of students have successfully completed their studies at The City College and have progressed to higher studies in British and American Universities or secured successful careers in a variety of fields.

As well as maintaining high academic standards and providing quality tuition, The City College is noted for its prompt response to the education and training developments in the global market and for its pastoral care given to students.The majority of its students join The City College as a result of recommendations from past or existing students.

Our Ethos
The City College has a friendly and informal environment though we aim to have a disciplined approach to study. The academic atmosphere of the College is very evident to visitors, who comment on the quiet, purposeful atmosphere that pervades the building.

Our education philosophy is to provide our students with the resources necessary to become well-rounded, highly motivated candidates for their chosen career.
