Students are encouraged to test themselves at home before coming to the college to ensure they are symptom free. The rapid lateral flow tests are available for free to anyone wishing to take a test. Local pharmacies and GPs are able to provide the tests and they can also be ordered online using the following link:
Students can also book Rapid Covid-19 tests in advance, which provide results on the same day and are available to anyone who needs to leave their home for work or volunteering. This includes critical workers, carers, tradespeople and essential retail workers. We encourage frequent testing for people unable to work from home.

There are several testing sites near the College as well as community pharmacies where staff and students can get tested.
First of all, we would like to thank our staff, and students, for their continued patience, and understanding, as we adapt to the changes brought about by the current pandemic. The City College prides itself on being a community and, as such, have endeavoured to continue keeping in touch with, teaching, and supporting, our students remotely. We are doing this via Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, email and Showbie. The office and team are available from 10-6 pm Monday-Friday with out of office responses to urgent requests for information, offering lessons and support as normal.
The City College has an Emergency Response Team in place to deal with unprecedented situations, such as the current pandemic, which results in the College having to be closed for any period of time. The response team aims to monitor the situation and act on government guidelines and will make decisions about when the College should close, for the safety and security of its student body, and staff. It will also plan for how, and when, to re-open, in a way which ensures the safety, and security, of all members of the TCC & CCA community.
The City College Emergency Response Team also puts in place the necessary support required while remote learning is in place: assessing, and implementing, the systems used, offering training, and support, for online working, ensuring security and making sure that communication is easy to access.
